The Fort Bend County Office of Homeland Security & Emergency Management in partnership with Clear Channel Outdoor launched its countdown to the 2020 hurricane season via digital billboards. These public service announcements are part of an annual preparedness campaign urging residents to get ready for the upcoming hurricane season. A total of 10 digital billboards will display the actual countdown to the start of hurricane season in Fort Bend County. The message will change June 1 through November for hurricane season with a general reminder to be prepared. This program is part of the Clear Channel’s Gulf Coast Emergency Communications Network which provides emergency messaging during natural or man-made disasters in the area at no cost to the counties it operates in including Fort Bend, Harris and Galveston Counties.
